  • How do I know if we are a good match?

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions via phone or email. A brief phone call can give you a sense of whether we'd be a good fit for you. Our main priority is to ensure you feel safe and comfortable throughout the therapy process.

  • Is the intake session mandatory?

For regular couples counselling sessions, an intake session is mandatory. Your first couples counselling session cannot take place until after your intake session has been completed.

  • What is involved in the intake session?

During your intake session, your therapist will introduce themselves and discuss their therapeutic approach. Next, you'll have the opportunity to share a brief overview of why you're seeking therapy. Lastly, you'll be provided with a comprehensive premarital/marriage assessment to complete before your first couples therapy session.

  • Why is the intake session $100?

In addition to paying for your therapist's time, there is a mandatory premarital/marriage assessment included in your sessions. This assessment, provided by Prepare/Enrich, is a comprehensive survey that both you and your partner will need to complete. The results of this assessment offer invaluable insights to your therapist, informing future sessions and guiding the therapeutic process.

  • Will my intake therapist continue being my therapist?

Yes, once you have selected your therapist for your intake session, that therapist will continue to be your therapist for the duration of your couples counselling.

  • Can I choose my therapist?

Feel free to choose any of the therapists currently accepting clients in Vancouver when booking your intake session. If a therapist is not listed, it means their client load is full at the moment.

  • Do all therapists use the same methods?

All our Vancouver therapists adhere to the same therapeutic methodologies and procedures, ensuring a consistently high-quality therapy experience. Regardless of your therapist, you can expect a similar level of care and professionalism.

  • What is the length of counselling session?

Each booked session reserves a 60-minute interval, with the therapeutic portion lasting 50 minutes. The intake session is the exception, lasting 20 minutes.
